Chelsea and Mark - Bleeding Love

I wasn't in love with any of the performances on SYTYCD last night, except this one! I really felt the emotion and could definately relate to the story they were portraying about hubbys having to work long hours for the family. I just loved it!

Absence makes the heart grow...sad

I am posting about my boys because I miss them oodles. They are the world to me and really it has been so hard and quiet without them. Admittedly, it was nice the first few days just to get things done, or watch my shows without interruption, but I really don't care anymore...I miss my boys!

So it has been almost a week since my boys left for their grandparent's. They are having such a nice time- swimming everyday, playing with their cousins, and going on fun adventures! My in-laws are so great to take them in with open arms. Trey is sweet as can be and I was SHOCKED to hear how polite and courteous Brock is being as a guest. He is listening and even encouraging the other kiddos to listen. He is such a good kid and I am glad to know that when he is a guest he will listen and mind his manners. One more week to go...I love those boys so much!

"The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne

"Whatever is going on in your mind is what you are attracting"

Rhonda defines 'The Secret' as the law of attraction, which is the principle that "like attracts like." Rhonda calls it "the most powerful law in the universe," and says it is working all the time. "What we do is we attract into our lives the things we want, and that is based on what we're thinking and feeling," Rhonda says. The principle explains that we create our own circumstances by the choices we make in life. And the choices we make are fueled by our thoughts—which means our thoughts are the most powerful things we have here on earth.

SO TRUE! I couldn't help but think how this has a connection with my personal religious beliefs of faith and the spirit within us. We have been taught this aspect in our lives to have faith and to believe in ourselves so I was happy to see Oprah touching on this subject, though it is being described a little differently. They described "turning it all over to the Universe", which I translate personally to turning it over to our Heavenly Father and the plan he has for us. He wants us to be happy and to reach our goals in life. In the show one of the ladies said that if you place a yellow post it note on your mirror with 3 things you want out of life, look at it everyday and tell yourself "I love you" it will happen. Focus on these wants, visualize getting them/reaching them, and believe it will happen. I want to try to focus more on this general aspect of believing (faith) and thinking optomistically. Also, the secret focuses on gratitude and being thankful for what we have in life. Focus on that and more of it will come:) My goals on a post-it note in my bathroom:

1)Love myself completely

2)Live by the beach (long-term of course)

3)Finish my book

I know, still haven't finished! Why? Because I have been focusing on why I can't be good enough to come up with the greatest ending. Well, this thought has changed sistah! I can do it!

Just wondered...what is it that you do to reach your goals in life? Tell me...what are 3 of your wants in life?

BROCK'S END OF YEAR PERFORMANCE!

Be sure to pause my music on the left...Here is a short video of Brock's end of year preschool performance. He is on the second row from the top about 3 kids over. He did such a good job, but I found it funny how concerned he was that I was watching...and clapping. He kept looking over (even during choreography) and waving, then turning around and telling his friends that his mom is out there. I couldn't help but think "One day he won't be so proud to point out his Mom in a crowd to his friends." He did yell out to me as I was taking a picture and my hands were full with the camera and a tupperware of goldfish for Trey, "Mom, clap!" There is so much of me in him, and I think that is why we butt heads so much. Notice how he starts clapping for himself at the end of the song...I just love this kid!

Sorry for the messy video work-I took this while trying to keep my little one happy.:)
